Where have you been – May 2026

Each month we wait with bated breath to find out where the newsletter has been on its travels! This month, the newsletter has “stay-cationed” in the UK, heading to some “New” places – the New Forest and New Romney!

Here, we see the newsletter at the New Forest Tall Trees Walk. Our reader told us, “This walk takes you past majestic conifers planted in the 1850s, some of the oldest Douglas fir trees in Britain, and includes views of two enormous redwoods.”

Closer to home, the newsletter visited New Romney, just up the road. Here is a photo of the newsletter beside The Sheep Column on Dymchurch Road. It is an oak column, sculpted by the late, world renowned – and East Sussex based – artist Robert Koenig to honour and commemorate over 1,000 years of sheep farming on Romney Marsh.

Thank you to everyone who sends in photos!

When you go off on your travels, however near or far flung, please take your copy of CCN with you and snap a picture of it in different places, and then send it in to us at cambernews@hotmail.com. If you have finished reading it by the time you take the picture, why not leave your copy at the destination for someone else to read, and maybe they will also fall in love with Camber!

Happy snapping, Camber folk – we look forward to receiving your pictures!
