After a week-long road closure between Camber and Lydd, which went right up until the day before Good Friday, the big bump in the road has been repaired!
The ‘temporary’ traffic lights have been in operation for a couple of years and were known as Permanent Temporary Lights due to the carriageway being deemed as unsafe for two-way traffic.
They had to remain in place until a permanent structural repair of the underlying concrete slabs could be carried out. (For those who remember the previous repair – let’s hope that Highways has done it properly this time!)
The journey along the C94 from Camber to Lydd is now a much smoother ride – at last!
