Caretaker Contract
Camber Parish Council is currently inviting tenders for a contracted caretaker to help look after the parish council assets.
This will include keeping Jubilee Green and Johnsons Field litter free and emptying bins located there.
Other duties will include weekly inspections of our play equipment and street furniture such as the bus shelters and noticeboards and ensuring that they are clean and well maintained. Additional work as directed at the Allotments.
The successful person will be responsible for providing a summary of the work carried out with their invoice and to have their own insurance, equipment and tools.
A vehicle will be required as well as a full clean driving licence and £10 million public liability insurance to be provided by the contractor.

Allotment Rents Due
If you rent an allotment plot at Yates Close from Camber Parish Council, the charges for the rents and water are now due.
You will have already been advised of the small increase in charges with effect from 1st April 2026.
Councillors agreed at the meeting in January that the combined allotment and plot rental charge was to be increased by 50p per rod from the current charge of £10.50 per rod to £11 per rod from 1st April 2026.
Please make your payment directly to the Parish Council bank account if possible and put your name and plot number as a reference.
If you are unable to make a payment to our bank, then please visit before the start of the Council meeting (the meeting starts at 7.30pm) held at the Memorial Hall on 21st April where you will be able to pay by cash.

Camber Youth Project
A free youth group working with young people aged 11 – 17 in Camber and the surrounding area.
FSN is offering fully funded youth sessions for young people in Camber to engage in positive activities and fun.
What is on offer?
- Youth led activities including sports, art & craft, games etc
- AQA Awards for the activities offered
- CV writing, motivational skills, support around getting employment, volunteering etc
- Giving young people a voice in the community
- Give your views on your local area
- Looking at trips, positive activities and more!
The project will run Thursday 4.00-6.00 pm at Johnsons Field, Lydd Road, Camber TN31 7RS
