Afternoon Tea Social Session

Since the cessation of the Camber Residents Association, the existing members have retained their monthly get-togethers in the form of a social afternoon tea.

Run between 12:00 and 14:00’ish, this is held in The Camber Castle pub, usually on the first Monday of the month (Note: due to bank and school holidays, this ruling can change – so always check the newsletter for the correct date each month!). This social event is open to all Camber residents.

Those attending should each bring along a plate of snacks such as sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, cakes and biscuits and can purchase a tea or a coffee (even an alcoholic drink should you wish!) from the pub.

£3.00 is collected from each person and kept in a “kitty” to be used later in the year for a subsidised meal or a day trip for the regular attendees. Folk should also bring along small items which are raffled off at each session, with the takings also being added to the same kitty.

It is an afternoon of fun chat, a few good laughs and a chance to catch up on the latest news in the village – and you may also win a prize in the raffle.
