Stormy Weather
Storm Bert was still raging as we went to print for the December edition of the newsletter (in late November). We had just over two days of battering wind which left our village Christmas tree cowering, whilst other parts of the country suffered widespread and severe flooding as 80% of November’s average rainfall came in just 48 hours.
Where Have You Been?
Over the last couple of months, the newsletter has travelled far and wide! The November edition found itself on a cruise ship, The Explorer of the Seas, going off on a Caribbean Cruise! The newsletter can be seen in Antigua, St. Lucia, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic!
Happy Chinese New Year
The Chinese New Year in 2025 welcomes the Year of the Snake. Celebrated by millions around the world, this is a time for cultural traditions, family reunions, and hopes for good fortune in the coming year.
The Panto Came to Camber Again!
Camber folk welcomed the chance to see a pantomime without having to travel very far. Actually, we only had to go to the Camber Memorial Hall!
Castle News – February 2025
At the beginning of December, Castle-goers were treated to a comedy music duo, ‘The King Elvises – 70s Roadshow’. The show featured lots of Elvis hits alongside plenty of antics, some of which were a little on the ‘rude’ side, and lots of audience participation.
Sam Carter Tribute
A familiar sight in his red uniform, Sam Carter has served the people of Camber, Rye and the surrounding villages as a volunteer Community First Responder for 18 years.
