DOG BINS – HAVE YOUR SAY!
Camber Parish Council purchased two dog waste bins which are sited in the middle of the road side verge area of Johnsons Field and also at point K which is at the beach end of Johnsons Field close to the end of The Suttons.
Councillors discussed if these are in the correct position and if the bin at K should be moved to the entry point from the road to Johnsons Field.
It was further discussed if a third bin should be installed which will be considered as part of budget setting in November and will cost approx. £425 to purchase the bin plus the cost of installation and regular emptying.

The parish council pays for the emptying of the bins out of money collected from your Council tax. Unfortunately, one of the dog bins was recently tampered with and the chute was damaged but fortunately our contractor was able to carry out a repair so that it can continue to be used.
Do you use the dog bins in Johnsons Field? – If so…
- Are they in the right place?
- Where would they be best used?
- Should the parish council invest in a third dog waste bin for Johnsons Field?

SECOND YOUTH EVENT IN JOHNSONS FIELD
Following the successful May half term event held in Johnsons Field which was arranged by Matt Davey, Senior Youth Services Manager, Fellowship of St Nicholas (FSN) a second event was arranged.
The May event attracted 15 young people from the village who took part in 5 a side football and other activities.
The Parish Councillors considered a request from Matt at the Council meeting to hold a second event which was unanimously supported and was arranged to take place during the summer holidays.

The second event was held on Thursday 21st August and Matt, who is qualified to tutor skateboarding. put his skills to good use in demonstrating some moves and training young people in skills on the day.
Following the skateboarding session they were given skateboarding ‘blanks’ to decorate. These are the board without wheels. They set out their designs first on paper and then transferred these to the boards which they were able to take home with them.
Football skills were a popular activity again and refreshments were also provided.
