Garden Update – November 2025

Remedial work has nearly finished on the Camber Community Beach Garden at the Central Car Park entrance. Working closely with the project team, the gardening group has arranged for the terracing to be put back in, and improved access to the site.

CCG would like to thank the Coastal Officers Joel and Olly, Baxall Construction, and Tom the project guy at RDC for all their help in making this happen.

Initially, beach sand was used to fill the beds but it has been agreed that some topsoil will be included to help the new plants establish.

The new design has increased the space for the garden as the area around the new showers has also been cleared and can be used to plant specialist beach plants.

The old area will continue to be the community garden and donations and help from everyone is encouraged.

Regular meeting times for the group have yet to be decided but you can also contact the team via cambernews@hotmail.com.

First stop: prune the Tamarisk, cull the weeds, and get some bulbs in. Can’t wait!
