Last month, we reported about a group of friends, regulars at The Rye Bay Bar & Grill in Old Lydd Road, giving Santa a helping hand whilst times are hard.
The team of volunteers held weekly raffles at The Rye Bay to help Father Christmas with the cost of buying gifts for the children of Camber, which he give out to local families when he visited our village Christmas Fayre.
The team – who paid for all the prizes from their own pockets – raised a whopping £480 towards Santa’s costs!
We are sure Santa appreciated it, and ensured that all the young folk visiting the fayre will received a gift! Well done to all of the team for their initiative, hard work, and generosity!
