Summer in Camber is always our favourite time of year, but sadly, just like that, another summer season comes to an end. Whilst we didn’t experience a scorcher, at least the weather was better than it was last year!
Towards the end of September, we saw Western Car Park fill up with the familiar sight of marquees, trailers and film equipment. Preparations were beginning for four days of filming on the beach from the 1st to the 4th of October.
At the end of August, Castle-goers were treated to the extraordinary guitar skills of Tigo, a solo performer, who impressed everyone with his array of sounds from Pink Floyd to Bob Marley to Dire Straits! His guitar-playing talent was exceptional.
October is truly autumn time. Days shorter, nights longer and it’s colder. Never mind -you will find a warm welcome here at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Camber.
It’s been a good year for the… sunflowers! As the 1970s ballad goes, “It’s been a good year for the roses…” and, indeed, it has. With all the rainfall we have had in Camber, all the flora seems to be thriving! The Cordylines and Yuccas have produced fine blooms, right the way through until September,…
