Audit For Year Ending 31st March 2025
The external auditors PKF Littlejohn LLP have now completed their annual review for the financial period from 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025 and issued their assurance opinion which is that the information in Sections 1 and 2 of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return is in accordance with the Proper Practices and no other matters have come to their attention giving cause for concern that relevant legislation and regulatory requirements have not been met.
Christmas Tree for Jubilee Green
Councillors agreed to the purchase of a Christmas tree for Jubilee Green to be installed in time for the Christmas Fayre which is being arranged by the Camber Community Group to take place on 22nd November and following consideration they set a budget of £350 for the purchase of the tree.
It was discussed that local businesses should be approached to sponsor the cost of the tree so that this did not come out of the parish council funds.
It was also discussed that more lights may need to be purchased this year and that these will be checked.

Cllr Spanswick proposed a very worthy person to switch on the Christmas tree lights this year.
The member of the public present at the meeting asked where the wood goes once the tree is taken down after Christmas. Cllrs Peter Atkinson and Rupert Cawte explained that it is usually the volunteers who have taken the tree down who then cut the tree up and take it away.
The member of the public said it would be a good idea if this went to people in need in the village.
Should you wish to be considered for this please contact: clerk@camberparishcouncil.gov.uk
