On Friday 6th December, the Community Lunch team got to take a well-earned break. A full Christmas roast dinner was provided once more by The Gallivant! Guests were treated to an early Christmas lunch cooked by The Gallivant kitchen team, along with a choice of desserts including Christmas Pudding with custard and mince pies of different varieties. The lunch team were able to sit down and enjoy their lunch alongside everybody else as The Gallivant team attended to everyone’s needs.
The Community Lunch team treated everyone to Christmas crackers and cards, and a sweetie goody-bag to take home! There was an emotional moment when Tina Beattie, the captain of the lunch crew, made an announcement that she would soon be leaving Camber. The lunches will continue without Tina, but the team will miss her drive and energy, for sure.

Camber Community Lunches continue on the first Friday of each month throughout the winter, with the next one taking place on Friday 7th February, Camber Memorial Hall, 12 noon until 1.30pm. All welcome!
