NEWS FROM THE REV
October is truly autumn time. Days shorter, nights longer and it’s colder. Never mind -you will find a warm welcome here at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Camber. At the time of writing, we have just celebrated Harvest Thanksgiving followed by a lovely lunch. Our church looked lovely, decorated by Dean our flower-man with Ann and Johanne, our foragers.
On October 16th, to celebrate the Day of St. Francis, we will be having a Blessing of the Animals at 3pm. Bring your pet, be it a tarantula, rat, Great Dane, tiny kitten or guinea pig (or a picture) for a short service and blessing followed by tea and cookies. Please ensure your animals are kept safe.
We look forward, in November, to our Community Remembrance Service on 10th November. We will begin at 10.30 with the 2-minute silence at 11am. This will be followed with the dedication.
Everyone will be welcome.
Don’t forget our POP IN on Friday afternoons. Bring your knitting or crochet, or test your Scabble Skills against Nancy’s! Or just have a chat…
Again, don’t forget to wave to me as I trike around.
Many blessings to you all,
Rev Yvonne Adam
