Earlier in 2024 we called out for prescription glasses that could be recycled around the world. As usual, Camber residents responded with generosity and 82 pairs were donated. This will give 82 people help with their vision and, undoubtedly, improve their life!
The collection box has now been removed from the Memorial Hall but you can still donate your old specs into various other outlets including opticians in Hastings and Ashford.
Well done to everyone who donated, and to Jan Robbins who coordinated this initiative and liaised with The Lions. Thanks, also, to the Memorial Hall Committee for allowing us to place our collection box in their entrance foyer.
