Ambulance for Ukraine – November 2024 Update

In our September edition we printed a message from Dawn Bullen about her wonderful fundraising efforts for Ambulance Ukraine, a charity that wants to buy a 4 x4 vehicle and fill it with as much healthcare essentials as possible and drive it to Poland, to then be taken to Ukraine. For more information, please see their Facebook page: [https://www.facebook.com/groups/5582460278483958]

With generous donations from Camber folk, Dawn raised over £500 from her garden sales and a fundraising table at the Camber summer fete! Dawn encourages anyone who has medications, bandages, dressings, etc, including old towels that can be used as dressings for the injured, to drop them at her house, 135 Lydd Road.

Another Camber resident, Graham Lowe, is going to run the Brighton marathon in April next year, in a bid to raise more funds for the cause. Graham told us that he has already started training, so there is no going back now! Graham has run quite a few marathons over the years, supporting many worthy causes.

We will publish details of how you can support this cause and donate to Graham’s fundraiser, closer to the time.
