Thank you – and well done – to our local shop! BJ’s on the Beach served the village well throughout the Christmas season.
Water barrels are a convenient way to collect and store water for your garden or allotment. They are a brilliant way to conserve water and potentially save money in the summer months.
And so it came to pass that on the 22nd day of the last month in the year of our Lord, 2024, the Camberites of Camber village in the south east of the land awoke to a dreary, windy, rainy day and huddled in their dwellings before their fires in an effort to find some cheer.
The Camber Community Lunch Group had another successful and, given the cold weather, very welcome free lunch event on Friday 10th January – the first one for 2025.
The Christmas tree that featured in the Church for our Carol Service on 22nd December arrived in Camber after a bit of a journey.
I am sure you will all know at least one person who has named their vehicle – and probably given them a bit of a jibe about the ridiculousness of naming an inanimate object, etc!
Camber Community Group, the organisation behind Camber Community Newsletter, was formed 13 years ago this month! In that time, the group has been involved in many community events and projects, some in the public eye, and some running quietly behind the scenes – but always for the good of the village.
I have lived in Camber for just over 10 years now and have noticed the speeding is getting worse, everyone is rushing. Also, aggressive drivers, always the odd car.
Camber Community Newsletter has received a grant of £500 from the Police & Crime Commissioner’s Community Safety Fund.
