
The Panto Came to Camber Again!
Camber folk welcomed the chance to see a pantomime without having to travel very far. Actually, we only had to go to the Camber Memorial Hall!

And so it came to pass that on the 22nd day of the last month in the year of our Lord, 2024, the Camberites of Camber village in the south east of the land awoke to a dreary, windy, rainy day and huddled in their dwellings before their fires in an effort to find some cheer.
The Camber Community Lunch Group had another successful and, given the cold weather, very welcome free lunch event on Friday 10th January – the first one for 2025.
On Friday 6th December, the Community Lunch team got to take a well-earned break. A full Christmas roast dinner was provided once more by The Gallivant!
Another fabulous Prize Bingo Night was held at the end of January, in The Camber Castle pub. One of our usual callers, Ian, called the numbers. A veteran bingo caller, Ian kept the games moving along, interspersed with his dry wit and humour.
Here at the newsletter, we find ourselves saying it again and again, but here goes… WOW, Camber, you did it again!!
The popular Camber Community Lunches started again on Friday 4th October in the Camber Memorial Hall, from 12 noon to 1.30 pm. As well as delicious soup, there were savoury scones and sausage rolls on offer – and chocolate cake for afters!
Despite the July weather being a bit unreliable, we kept the faith and themed the prizes towards the summer break!
The Great Nurdle Hunt is an initiative by environmental group, Strandliners. A Great Nurdle Hunt event is taking place in Camber on Saturday 21st September at 5pm.
Once more, the team at Camber Community Group find themselves saying a big “WOW, Camber, you did it again!!”
