Castle News – October 2024

At the end of August, Castle-goers were treated to the extraordinary guitar skills of Tigo, a solo performer, who impressed everyone with his array of sounds from Pink Floyd to Bob Marley to Dire Straits! His guitar-playing talent was exceptional. There was also a surprise gig from Gaz Jones, who had sung at the Camber Summer Fun Day, getting everyone on their feet and dancing. Gaz did a set at The Castle over the August bank holiday weekend, impressing the punters with his vocal skills!

September saw the return of Wayne’s World dress-up Karaoke and the continuation of the regular Karaoke and Old Skool discos, but these evenings will be winding down for the winter months and so won’t be as regular.

In October, there will be an Elvis tribute artiste on Saturday 19th, and Saturday 26th October will see the return of the ever-popular Ritchie Campbell reggae act, who has wooed customers may times before. If you like reggae, then you will love Ritchie!

CCN will be holding a Prize Bingo Night on Tuesday 29th October at 7pm. Do come along and enjoy a great atmosphere with some interesting prizes!

The Castle’s Hallowe’en events will run over into early November, with a Hallowe’en Ball on the 2nd including a DJ, and everyone is invited to come along in fancy dress. As always, keep an eye out on The Castle’s Facebook page and the noticeboard in the pub for any additional events – different acts are being booked all the time!
