In August the Pelwood Road bookstop was pushed over and vandalised. It was suspected that this was by youths staying on the holiday park but no further action could be taken. However, on the positive side we are pleased to say that this was first time the bookstops have been vandalised in the 4 years they have been in place and it gave CCG the opportunity to refurbish and repair the broken one.
Our thanks to Dave and James (Rysons Builders) who rescued the box and replaced it in their spare time. The books have been refreshed and there are many children’s books now in both bookstops. It was good to see so many nice welcome back messages from the locals.
