About Us: The Camber Community News

Welcome to the home of the Camber Community New (CCN), a publication that has been at the heart of our village for over 13 years! With 130 issues and counting, CCN is proud to be the voice of Camber, celebrating our vibrant community, sharing important news, and fostering connections among residents.

Our Journey

Founded in 2012, the CCN began as a simple initiative to keep the village informed and engaged. In 2014, a new committee took the reins, and the newsletter entered a transformative period. Over the years, we have covered a diverse range of topics, from local events and safety issues to environmental concerns, historical anecdotes, and community updates.

In 2019, we made the pivotal decision to adopt a magazine-style format, which has since received widespread acclaim. This shift, along with contributions from professional designers and our talented team, has made the newsletter more accessible and visually engaging for readers of all ages.

What We Do

Each month, our team works diligently to produce a publication that reflects the spirit and diversity of Camber. We aim to:

  • Inform: Share news and updates about local matters, events, and initiatives.
  • Inspire: Highlight acts of kindness, community spirit, and success stories from within the village.
  • Engage: Provide a platform for discussions on social, environmental, and cultural topics that matter to our community.

Our articles are written with objectivity and care, ensuring that we represent a balanced perspective on the issues that affect our village. At the heart of CCN is a commitment to inclusivity, delivering a copy of the newsletter to every household in Camber.

Our Team

The CCN is a community-driven effort, brought to life by a dedicated group of volunteers. From our writers and designers to our amazing team of deliverers, every edition is a testament to the passion and collaboration of our village.

We owe special thanks to past and present team members, including Jan, Julie, Lindsay, and Jeanette C., whose contributions have been instrumental in shaping the newsletter. Our current designers, Anna and Anthony, continue to raise the bar with their creative vision, building on the legacy of our previous designer, Maria.

Supporting Our Mission

The newsletter thrives thanks to the support of residents, local businesses, and organizations. Fundraising events, donations, and sponsorships have been vital in covering printing costs and ensuring the sustainability of the newsletter.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributes to this shared endeavor, whether by attending events, donating prizes, or simply picking up the latest issue. The CCN is truly a reflection of the community it serves.

Looking Ahead

As we celebrate our 13th year, we remain as passionate as ever about connecting the people of Camber. The CCN is not just a newsletter; it is a symbol of our collective identity and resilience. We look forward to many more years of storytelling, community building, and making a difference together.
